NASPA Club #154 meets on Tuesday evenings at Angie’s Pizza in Independence. This is one of three Northeast Ohio Scrabble clubs sanctioned by NASPA, which provides Cleveland Scrabble players with an opportunity for organized, competitive Scrabble play. While the official start time is 6:00 p.m., club members can often be found there as early as 5:30. The Independence club is ideal for casual play, with pairings made round by round, so that players can come and go as their schedules permit.

There is no fee to play at the club, but players are encouraged to sample the delicious food and beverages on Angie’s menu. While the atmosphere at Angie’s can be quiet or raucous, depending on the size of the crowd and the music on the jukebox, quality play and friendly players can always be found.

On the second Tuesday of the month in January, March, May, July, September, and November, the Independence Club holds a Local Club Rated, 4-game tournament, with a $4 entry fee. More information about the next tournament can be found on the Tournaments page.
