Chuck Armstrong returned to tourney play after a while away and preformed his usual merciless pummeling of the field. He was not undefeated, though. He would have been Gibsonized had I been Gibsonizing, but I had announced I wouldn't. So Scott Pianowski, who had just lost to Chuck in round 6, got to play him again in round 7 (the final KOH and only round that allowed repeats) ... and won! Jeff Clark matched Scott's 5-2 record and ended up in third.
In Division B, Cecilia Huber did good (raising her desired goal for the board drawing to support her walk to support breast cancer research) and won her first five games en route to victory. Tina Cur and Dallas Johnson managed to match her 5-2 record, but ended up in second and third.
In Division C, Joyce Stock ... co-director and wife of the on-site director ... just happened to win her first tourney. This despite about three hours of sleep due to a minor family medical emergency (emergency room call for my daughter Vivian starting just before midnight, but she'll be fine). Doug Szymkowiak and Joe Larsen, each playing in his second tourney, finished in second and third.
