Rules (as simple as 1-2-3!):
1. Choose three players in Division A and two in Division B. Those five players form your entry, or "team" (team names are encouraged!)
2. In each division, one of your picks must be from a different portion of the division (top, middle, and bottom for A; top and middle for B).
3. For each game won by one of your players, your team earns 1 point. Team with the most points wins! Spread is used as a tiebreaker.
Roto FAQ:
Q: What's it cost?
A: $10/entry. Enter as many different teams as you like. Pay me in person before the tourney starts or by proxy. PayPal is OK otherwise.
Q: How much of the entry fees go toward prizes?
A: 100%, thanks to Dan Stock's genius linking the roto spreadsheet to the results spreadsheet. This also allows me to pay out on site, after the awards ceremony.
Q: What will the prize structure/payout be?
A: Dependent on the # of entries. It will be announced, at the latest, before Sunday play begins.
Q: How will I know how my team is doing?
A: Roto standings will be printed after each round along with tournament standings. For remote entries, I'll post standings online Saturday night and e-mail Sunday if you've won.
Q: What if one of my picks drops out or is bumped up to Division A to make it even?
A: In that case, your pick will default to the highest-seeded player in that group. If you want to choose back-up picks just in case, please include them in your entry.
Q: Who won last year?
A: Paul Epstein's A entry was the best of 40 in 2008. Steve Hartsman won in 2007. This is the third year I've been running it, since taking the reins from Scott Pianowski.
