NASPA Club #653 meets on Thursday evenings beginning at 6:00 p.m., at the Highland Square Apartments, 733 W. Market Street, Akron. Free parking is available in the parking deck behind the building (upper level). Enter through the back door of the building, then take the stairs on the left down to the basement. We meet in the party room on the basement level.
Club tournaments are generally held on the first Thursday in February, April, June, August, October, and December. Club tournaments begin at 6 p.m., and participants are required to be a member of the North American SCRABBLE Players Association in order to play, under rules established by NASPA. There is no fee to play in the tourney. Note: since our August event would conflict with the National SCRABBLE Championship, we are holding a special "Nationals Tune Up" all day event, in conjunction with the Rocky River club.
